Our friends the Reids need some help and a lot of prayers and support.

 

Yesterday, Randy had brain surgery for a tumor that was discovered last Friday. Currently, he is not awake. He is healing in ICU while his family patiently waits. The following message are his words:

 

I was diagnosed with a brain tumor (glioblastoma) last Friday thanks to a CT Scan conducted at Adventist Health. A few days later I was later admitted to OHSU ER, then moved to ER ED, then moved to department of neurology. I received multiple CT scans because an MRI was contraindicated with my pacemaker. I met a wonderful nurse who prayed with me a powerful prayer because she noticed I needed to share something. But I couldn’t pray. She did it for me and the Holy Spirit understood my groanings. I was at OHSU between Wed and Fri last week. My surgery is scheduled for Thursday 6/2. I met the surgical team on Friday during their morning rounds and I’m confident in Dr Olabisi Sanusi.

Anyway, I can go on and on. But I’ll save the rest for other updates. Suffice to say that I’m blessed by being supported at work by a great team willing to cover for me during my medical leave. Two local church families that are praying and supporting. Friends. This morning the whole family went to the front alter to receive the laying on of hands. It was special.

Jason and Nolan and Kristen and Bob B have especially stepped into their ministry work to support us. Then there is my family who have stepped into helping me. Brody came in from Phoenix to be with me. I’ll leave someone off so I’ll leave it there for now.

Please pray for my wife Jennifer and kids, Justine, Brody, and Travis.
