On July 16, 2015, our very dear friend David Pope suffered a massive hemorrhagic stroke.
Since suffering this devastating injury, David was hospitalized for a month while doctors struggled to manage his pain and control the bleeding in his brain. David is currently being cared for in a Rehabilitation center where he is undergoing intensive therapy to regain his mobility. Each day presents new obstacles, demanding a renewed hope that he will overcome this tragic illness. With his family and friends by his side and countless prayers and good vibes being sent, we remain steadfast in our faith that David’s body and mind will heal completely over time.
His absence from our everyday lives has left an unimaginable void. Heidi has taken on the difficult responsibility of parenting their three children while financially supporting a household on her own. Heidi’s resilience has helped her family settle into a routine reflecting their “new normal” as she rotates shifts at the rehabilitation center, cares for Hanna, Phoebe, Jack and the family pets; and reshuffles financial and professional obligations in order to provide David with the best medical care and companionship as he fights the most critical battle of his life.
We have created this page to help alleviate one of the only pains we can attempt to attack in this uncertain time – financial stability. We want David and his family to be able to fully dedicate their energy to his recovery, while putting their future financial stability at the back of their minds.
