Support Stephen's Battle Against Cancer

There comes a time in everyone's life where they need a hand up despite the reluctance and embarrassment to ask for help. My husband, Stephen, was diagnosed with colon cancer in March of 2022, followed by the removal of a large portion of his colon the following month. After completing chemo successfully and returning to work and somewhat of a normal existence for 18 months, it was time to have the port removed. The port was expected to be removed after a routine scan to ensure there were no issues. It was at this time our lives would be changed forever, and we were blindsided after seeing the doctor that Stephen's cancer returned and metastasized to his lymph nodes and the area surrounding his lung and heart. Stephen is halfway through treatment. This has taken a toll on our family not just emotionally but financially as well. Prior to his cancer diagnosis, Stephen spent many years helping meet the needs of others. This time around, treatment has not been kind to Stephen. He attempts to work every other week despite the side effects of chemo and presents a brave front that he is okay in order to keep his medical insurance.
We have fallen on difficult times financially with the loss of income, medical bills, and money spent on deductibles for medications and travel, which is the purpose and reason for setting up this fund to assist with household and medical expenses. I have recently transitioned into another job to attempt to improve our financial situation and be able to take care of our home and some of the repairs needed that we began before his cancer returned and metastasized.
Stephen is too proud to ask for help, but unfortunately, without help, we risk losing our home and will be unable to meet the expenses of our household bills in which we have fallen behind. We humbly would accept and appreciate any assistance at this time. I am willing to provide receipts for full transparency for bills, household expenses, repairs and cost of finishing painting and putting in a new floor as we currently were in the process of redoing our bedroom (which has not been touched since Stephen began chemo), medical bills and medications etc.
