In Loving Memory of Eric Garcia

On Friday, July 1st, Eric Garcia’s family was heartbroken and shocked with the terrible news that his health had drastically declined. He would be admitted into the ICU and sedated shortly after that. After almost three physically and emotionally taxing weeks, Eric's suffering would be no longer, and he would be taken off life support.

Eric left this earth on July 19, 2022. Eric was a loving husband, son, friend and most importantly, father to his beautiful 5-year-old son and pride and joy, DeoGracias Garcia. Eric's final conscious evenings would be spent reciting prayers with his baby boy over Facetime, in English and Spanish, as they had done every night since Deo was brought home from the hospital.

You could not be around Eric without feeling joy and warmth. He prided himself on helping others and providing for his family. Eric had a great sense of humor and a bright, infectious smile. Eric was always upbeat and loved music and dancing. You could walk up the steps to his storybook house at any given time to hear him playing music from his vintage stereo. Eric loved spending time with Deo building Legos and going on camping trips to their favorite spots. Family adventures with his wife, Sarah, and Deo were what he treasured most. Eric touched the lives of all those who had the privilege of knowing him, and he will be greatly missed.

With this unexpected and sudden loss brings many unforeseeable expenses. On behalf of Eric’s wife and son, we kindly ask for your support during one of the most tragic experiences one can face. All funds will go directly to Sarah and Deo to help lessen any financial burdens from medical costs, other bills, and to help Deo and Sarah begin their journey after the loss of Eric.
