On Wednesday April 1st my wife Sabrina was detained by ICE. She’s a beautiful loving caring and devoted wife and mother of two children aged 3 and 4. We have been together for 7 years and she entered the US legally on a K-1 (fiancée) visa last year. We were married last year and have been waiting for a green card.

Sabrina was detained by ICE while on her way to pick our children up from pre K. Sabrina has been in detention for close to a month at the time of writing and it has been absolutely devastating for me to be separated from my wife and for my children to be kept from their mother. While we have been waiting for Sabrina’s adjustment she’s been unable to work and has been a full time stay at home wife and mother supporting our family and raising our children while I work outside of the home to support our family, and her immigration financially. Her sudden and unexpected detention has turned our little family’s world on its head.

Aside from the tragedy that is my wife’s detention, I have essentially become a single father in the interim until we can secure Sabrina’s release. This has placed a whole additional obstacle on our path as we struggle to adjust to a daily life with significantly less support especially regarding the children and household. My ability to work and earn income to support our household has been considerably impacted as much more of my time now is dedicated to securing Sabrina’s release and raising our children as I do my best to step into the giant void being left behind by Sabrina’s detention.

We are seeking support to offset lawyers retainers, filing fees, bond costs and other associated legal costs (almost $20,000 at time of writing) as well as costs related to child care.

Every contribution will help to bring my wife home in a quicker fashion and continue to fight hard to secure her release.
