To know Michael is to love him. If you know him well, you know that he would do anything to help a friend in need. Now is our chance to come alongside him and help however we can.
On July 10th, on a Colorado Springs overnight, Michael was injured on the job (see face laceration photo). Shortly after that, on August 8th, he fell and severely injured his shoulder, preventing him from going back to work indefinitely. Then, on November 15th while he was in the midst of waiting for a much needed shoulder replacement surgery to be scheduled, he developed a severe infection. He was rushed to the ER near his home in Aurora, where they intubated him, and had to intravenously give him antibiotics to prevent the infection from spreading to his heart and brain. Thankfully, he's a fighter and pulled through that crucial night. After a few days in the ICU, he was transferred to a different floor, where he had skin graft surgery, and spent the rest of his time recovering until he was finally released on December 1st. After he is fully healed from his infection/skin graft, he will be scheduling his shoulder replacement surgery--which will require further recovery, as well as physical therapy.
Two weeks in the hospital, multiple surgeries, and extensive time off of work adds up to a large financial burden. Any amount you can give is helpful! (Even $1 or $5!). Feel free to share far and wide. All money raised will go directly to Michael and will help pay medical bills, as well as help with daily life expenses, as he has been out of work since August 8th, and will be for the foreseeable future.
Thank you for your help!
