It's been a long time since I've had to use one of these, but I've always been genuinely surprised by the gratuity and well-wishing of this community in general.

This time, I have a roommate and myself in a bit of dire straits with a house-mortgage (on their end) that has come under threat of foreclosure due to a time in payments-made to their mortgage were not enough to outpace what missed-payments they had before, and remained a consistent 3 months behind on this up until recently -- with both new employment, new roommate (myself), and cleaning things up along the way.

In order to stop the foreclosure process and ensure we get to keep living here instead of being pushed to sell, we are being asked for $3,050 in order to place this mortgage back in good standing.

I have just moved into this place a month and a half ago, and this news came as a complete shock to everyone. Thank you all in advance for any help that can be offered!
