Help son of JJC adjunct after devastating fire

Donation protected
Lucas Johnson, active Army Staff Sgt and son of JJC adjunct and emergency equipment specialist Clint Johnson, had just moved his wife and two young children to Herington, KS after the Army transferred him from Minnesota to Ft. Riley, when a fire damaged their home and killed their three dogs - literally days after Clint helped them move in and literally HOURS after their furniture arrived.

The family was out of the house and was not hurt. But in addition to many belongings, their three prized German Shepphards, Alley, Dakotta, and Sektor, did not survive.

The family is staying in a hotel now while the fire is under investigation. Until insurance kicks in, they will need help with many basics. Can you help them? Lucas is due to report back to Ft. Riley on 1/10/24, so getting his wife and children set before then is everyone's priority.

Clint is the retired Deputy Chief of Homewood Fire and has worked at JJC for many years teaching fire science courses and maintaining equipment across the Department of Health and Public Services. He would appreciate any help offered for his son, daughter in law and grandsons.

Donations will be transferred straight to Clint and his family upon receipt.
