On February 24th of this year, my mother-n-law Patrice Breen was taken from us far too soon. The devoted wife of Kevin, the adoring mother of five daughters, and beloved “Tricey” to six grandkids, Patrice suffered from a fast-moving and aggressive form of lung cancer. The past serval months have been tough for the family. Patrice’s caring, compassion and sense of humor are irreplaceable, but the countless happy memories she created over the years have provided comfort in the tough times.

 

This November, I will be running the New York City Marathon in Patrice’s honor and have set up this GoFundMe page that will benefit The Lexiebean Foundation, www.lexiebeanfoundation.org . We hope that the money raised in her name will help save someone else’s loved one. I can think of no more fitting honor for a woman who gave so wholly of herself to her family and friends.
