My name is Brea, Jenny’s sister-in-law. We are starting this GoFundMe to try to help Jenny get her life back after a long struggle with health issues.

Jenny’s health struggles started back in 2022. She had a really bad case of COVID in November 2022, and since that point she has been struggling with her health. It has been a very long (almost) 3.5 years of battling. Immediately following the bout with COVID she had unbearable fatigue that just wasn’t shaking at all. The breaking point was when she was on the floor with her kids, Ellie and Judah, one morning and she fell asleep actively speaking to them. She decided to seek help from her primary care doctor, but when her labs came back normal he told her, “We can prescribe you an antidepressant. Sometimes that helps with fatigue.” She felt so dismissed. Many people told her that she’s a mom; moms are always tired. This level of tiredness was not in any way normal.
A good friend from church recommended a holistic clinic in the area called Serenity Health Care. That friend suggested that maybe Jenny had adrenal fatigue. She was seen at Serenity in January 2023. They did a Bioscan on her and Lyme disease kept popping up on the results. She was advised that she could start taking some herbs to reduce chances of getting a false negative on labwork when they would test for Lyme. They did warn her that if she had Lyme in her body that she would actually feel worse than what she already did. How could that even be possible with the state she was in? She started taking the herbs, and sure enough she started to feel even worse. She was diagnosed with Lyme disease and got treatment then for 18 months- many months worth of various antibiotics and a lot of herbs too. She had countless symptoms on the 18 month journey: heart palpitations, facial palsy that mimicked a stroke, weird nerve sensations, gained 40 pounds in just 3 short months, systemic inflammation, tinnitus (ringing in the ears), vertigo, weakness, weird pains in her head, and the worst of all was the excessive fatigue. Imagine 18 months of all of those symptoms!! In January 2023 she had a visual migraine and a piece of the aura from that episode actually remained in her vision. It's a pixelated piece of that aura and unfortunately it has never gone away. She's had it for the last 3 years. She saw a neuro opthamologist and was diagnosed with "Persistent Positive Visual Phenomena in Migraine." It is incredibly rare. There's no known cause and no known cure for this issue.

She made a pretty big breakthrough finally in April 2024 which was around the time she tried taking colloidal silver. Even though she conquered the Lyme disease she could still tell that something was off. She still dealt with fatigue (although it was nowhere near what it was like when she had Lyme- it still impacted her quality of life), the tinnitus, she could not take off any of the weight that she put on which felt weird for a former college track and field athlete and former personal trainer, and the inflammation was still running rampant in her body.
She actually sought out a provider who could test her for mold toxicity. When she was at Serenity mold also popped up on the BioScan, but it was decided by Jenny and her provider to just pursue the possibility of Lyme to focus on one thing at a time.
She went to Provita Wellness in January 2025 and she did test (labwork) for extremely high levels of mold in her body.
They had a microbiologist come to their home. There was toxic mold in the basement. The water main in the basement was dripping, but the water main was hidden under a serving bar. They didn't have a clue of what was going on. The mold was remediated from the basement in April 2025, right around Easter. The microbiologist who came to their home drilled her with questions when he was there. He said with the timeline of things and her symptoms and especially that everything came on right after having COVID, he was certain that she has CIRS (Chronic Inflammatory Response Syndrome). This was confirmed by her NP at Provita as well. If Jenny would not have had COVID she would not have had Lyme disease and she would not have had mold toxicity. Mold is never positive for anyone to be exposed to, but the CIRS being activated by COVID allowed that her body couldn't fight anymore.
She's been getting treatment for the mold toxicity since about March 2025, and it's been such a slow journey.
Getting treatment from a holistic provider for close to 3.5 years and also having the remediation done has caused their finances to take a major hit.

Jenny's health journey had a lot of negative consequences for Judah as well. They took Judah to his first primary care visit in quite some time in January 2026. They had been so focused on Jenny's health that appointments for the kids had certainly taken a back seat. The doctor diagnosed Judah with separation anxiety from the trauma he experienced when Jenny had Lyme. Jenny and Shem both knew that Jenny's health journey had a tremendous impact on Judah. It was a positive thing to get an actual diagnosis as they definitely got the impression people did not quite understand how bad Jenny's health was and how much it affected Judah. The assignment right now from the doctor is essentially exposure therapy- get him in situations that make him uncomfortable. He is supposed to be with a babysitter once a week every week.
At the same doctor appointment for Judah they also found out that Judah has an umbilical mass that will need to be surgically removed. It's non-emergent, but it has to be resolved.
We feel bad for him. In general he deals with a lot of emotional regulation issues. Jenny and Shem would love to get him tested for CIRS too- when Jenny has a major spike of inflammation from the CIRS her left ear turns bright red and is incredibly hot. The inflammation is right at her ear and brain. Judah has the same issue. His left ear gets bright red. That coupled with his mood issues make us believe that he has pain going on that he cannot quite convey to us.

One of the biggest reasons for the start of a GoFundMe is for Jenny to be able to see a CIRS specialist. She is currently seeing someone for the mold toxicity, but being able to see someone who specializes in the root cause (CIRS) could speed up the process of healing. Right now things are moving at a snail's pace, and if we are not even getting to the actual root cause who knows if healing will even be possible. Another reason for the slow pace is there is a lot of picking and choosing in treatment because of financial constraints. The CIRS specialist who Jenny wants to see actually lived through CIRS herself. Her health journey was actually 6 years with a lot of misdiagnoses, but now she is thriving and healthy. Many of her clients have said she has helped them get their life back, and that is certainly our hope for Jenny who has been through an incredible amount. We want to help her conquer this chronic inflammation as a lot of medical experts out there claim that inflammation is the root of most diseases. Jenny also hopes that if she is able to conquer the inflammation that maybe, Lord willing, the visual phenomenon might go away too if the visual issue is tied to the neuro inflammation.

With the GoFundMe the hope would also be to help Judah to heal- and at the very least get him assessed at ProVita wellness for some of his symptoms- especially before he starts school this coming fall!

Please pray for the Bieberts- for physical and emotional healing.
