Hello everyone!

Some of you may know me as a personal friend, and/or as DJ Medusa in the Washington, D.C. music scene, and/or as the girl who organized the petition on change.org to reunite pandas Bei Bei & Mei Xiang at The National Zoo, which garnered over 13,000 signatures.

And some of you may know that I spent time in the hospital last year. After that, I spent time in an in-patient program for 7 weeks and after that, I spent time in an out-patient program for an additional 8 weeks.  This was for suicidal ideation, severe depression and several eating disorders, among health issues that I'd like to keep private.

I have a lot of expenses left over from this situation and unfortunately, I still am not doing well. At this point, there are some days when I just can't go to work because I feel so unwell. I am facing the fact that perhaps I can no longer work because of my symptoms which is downright frightening.

I am also hoping to raise money to help with current treatment that I need that is not covered by insurance.

Earlier this year I asked for donations via PayPal and some people suggested that I start a GoFundMe, so here I am!

I feel very strange asking for help, but I figure it can't hurt and I certainly do not expect anyone to donate. And if you can't donate, please don't feel badly - I completely understand!
