2024 Jiu Jitsu journey to #1 in the world

Hi, my name is Petra Lourakis Murray and I’m 12 years old. Born in Canada - my background is equal parts Greek, Cypriot, Filipino and Scottish. I love what most girls do: kittens, snapchat, school and hanging out with my friends.

I’m also the current European Jiu-Jitsu Champion! In 2023 I finished 4th in the world in my division.

In 2024 the goal is to be #1!!!! To achieve this I need to compete against the best and accumulate points at as many sanctioned IBJJF tournaments as possible. As I accumulate points my international ranking improves. A higher rank also means favorable seeding at tournaments increasing my chances of winning. The goal is to have the highest ranking going into this years 4 Grand Slam tournaments. This year these tournaments are: Brasilieros in Sao Paolo, Pans International in Las Vegas, Asian Championship in Japan and European Championship in Dublin.
