Jinny Kim

Our beloved Jinny passed away unexpectedly on June 16th. All funds collected will be used to help close out her affairs, and the remainder will be donated in her name to The California Academy of Sciences, a place she loved.

Jinny Kim was born on June 25, 1981 and lived almost 41 years with an unapologetic passion for life. She loved beautiful things, adventures both big and small, and gathering together with friends and family over delicious food and strong cocktails. No party was ever had without Tito's and soda or her favorite bottle of Nikka Whiskey followed by her signature "Cheers my dears"! She will be missed dearly by her family, closest friends, and anyone that has the opportunity to meet her - she had a spirit that made a lasting impression and a laugh that could never be forgotten.  

Jinny was the fourth of five siblings. Her passing was preceded by her mother, Kyungsoon Hedwig Kim and nephew Ryan Winston Owyang. She is survived by her sister Victoria Kim Dea; brothers Neal, Jerry Kim Gomez and Alfred Kim Gomez; niece Maigan Josephine Dea nephew Kenneth Rayn Dea; her partner Scott Fukuhara and ex-husband Zesha Forsman.

 

The viewing memorial will be held between 9:00am-11:00am on Friday, June 24, 2022 at Cypress Lawn Tiffany Chapel. 1370 El Camino Real, Colma, CA 94014

 

A celebration of life will be held between 5:00pm-8:00pm at Academy of Science Terrance Restaurant. 55 Music Concourse Dr, San Francisco, CA 94118
