Jim Tolliver's Treatment Expenses
Donation protected
Recently, I had the opportunity to hear Jim's heartbreaking story of the suffering that his aggresive Autoimmune Disease has caused. However, the hope and positivity in his voice was incredible. This man has given so much to several causes and our community and never asked for anything in return. That's when I knew it was time for us to unite and stand together to help this fighter gain the treatment he needs and deserves. Knowing the expenses that develop throughout the duration of treatment, I wanted to start a fundriser for Jim Tolliver. These funds will help him tremendously. Please help us gain the medical funds needed to treat his terrible disease. Below is his story. I know it will touch your heart as it did mine.
"As a South Florida native, I grew up on the beach & taught myself to surf at 7 years old. It is one of my many loves & passions. I have volunteered & supported many local causes. I have volunteered for ESA as a judge for over twenty years, as well as volunteered & supported Surfer's for Autism, Cystic Fibrosis "Pipeline for a Cure", Save the River Coalition, Furry Friends, fundraisers for surfers in need, "For the Love of Surfing", special needs camp & Surfrider Foundation, Share the Stoke
and countless hours teaching children how to surf out of the kindness of my heart, hoping I had somehow given hope and joy to others."
"Unfortunately, I never thought I would be battling for my life after a severe disease that took 15 years to properly diagnose. Now it is chronic & very aggressive. My symptoms are returning quite rapidly. Without the proper treatment, my organs will swell & it's quite possible I won't be here to watch my 20 month old daughter grow up. I need life saving treatment immediately. I am determined to beat this disease & get my quality of life back. I know through, alternative treatment & my faith in God that I can & will beat this debilitating disease. I hope to give others the courage and hope to keep fighting and never lose faith."
