Hi

My name is Kathy...I am fundraising for myself and my husband Jim..

11 days ago our world turned upside down...

Jim had a Stroke!! First day on new job in a new Province..

In Alberta we lived in our 1999 Jayco trailer..2 weeks ago we came to British Columbia with our trailer in hopes of finding work...few days in Jim had his stroke...he was in hospital up to yesterday and is now in InPatient Rehab for undetermined amount of weeks...he has no use of his right arm...yet

His right leg will require help too and his mouth is definately off...but his mind is intact..Thank God!

To be eligable for assistance...BC health etc you have to have lived here min. 3 months..

I am parked in a orchard with 800$ a month rent...plus my truck guzzles gas as i visit Jim and job hunt..

I Need to hang on here for Jim because I will be his Caregiver after Rehab!

We Are Alone out here!

I am signed up to Works BC to update my Résume and get employment counselling...and Jim and I have a Social Worker coming to help file for possible assistance and Jims CPP Disability...but this could be months of waiting...thus my GoFund...

I just want and hope to keep us afloat so Jim can focus on his recovery and I can focus on him!!
