Jim's Fight Against Leukemia: Your Support Needed
Donation protected
My husband Jim was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia on Friday, Nov 22nd. What was just an appointment for flu symptoms turned out to be a completely devastating and life-altering diagnosis. He is undergoing his first round of chemo with hopes for remission in order to continue on for a bone marrow transfusion. If all goes well, it will be a minimum of 2 months in 2 separate hospitals. Longer yet if it takes more than 1 round of chemo or if any delays happen health-wise or the potential wait for a marrow donor.
As one can imagine, this not only takes a toll on himself, family, and friends, it's also a huge financial one.
Jim has always prided himself in taking care of his family financially, being the primary provider to myself and our son Tyler, donating to various charities for those in need, and jumping to help anyone he knew personally in any way that was needed. If you've been blessed to know him, you know he is one of the nicest people you've met. Old acquaintances, friends, people he's met through the years are always glad to run into him, always happy to have the chance to talk, catch up, or share a laugh. He is just the most genuine and nicest person to know, and I'm so fortunate to be his wife.
In our time of need, we are humbly asking for any help any of you may be able to give. We are raising money to help with the medical bills that this is going to bring as well as helping with day-to-day expenses.
This not only helps with finances but also gives Jim peace of mind so he can focus on resting and getting better so he can come home.
If our donations succeed in covering medical costs and finances, the remaining will be donated to Boys Town, which Jim has been a contributor to since before I met him 17 years ago. This is something he holds near and dear to him, and passing it forward would mean the world to both of us.
Please do not think contributions start or stop at money. The biggest help any person could possibly give is prayer. If you cannot give financially, we ask that if you can pray over Jim's name and ask our Father for his healing grace to heal Jim and allow him to be cured and come home, that will be the biggest gift anyone can give❤️
We thank each and every person who comes across and reads his story, says a prayer on his behalf, gives financially, or who shares this to help spread it far and wide. From the bottom of my heart, I thank you!
