Jim Carter was diagnosed with prostate cancer in August 2024. He has completed radiation therapy and is currently undergoing chemotherapy. Because of the toll this treatment has taken on his health, Jim has been unable to work and is struggling to cover basic living expenses.
While his prognosis is positive and he's expected to recover, the road ahead is still long and difficult. Throughout this journey, Jim has had the support of his emotional support companion, Jude, who’s been a source of comfort and strength during these tough times. He’s also grateful to have made it through radiation without losing his hair—a small but meaningful blessing.
Jim is a skilled fine-finish carpenter and handyman, and he looks forward to getting back to the work he loves. Until then, any support you can offer will make a real difference in helping him get through the next few months.
A note from Jim:
"Of all my doctors at Ridley-Tree Cancer Center, Sansum Clinic, and Cottage Hospital, I want to give special thanks to Dr. Maria Campos for her exceptional care."
