Jimmie's Puppy
Donation protected
I met a new friend this week walking two of my puppies at the park. He suffered a traumatic brain injury some years ago and is wheelchair-bound. His interactions with people are limited so his mom was interested in getting him a companion dog, and noticed the puppies. While Jimmie played with the puppies, he told me that it has been hurtful to talk to most people, because they just walk away from him right in the middle of a conversation. He fell in love with one of the puppies, RED, and I decided to give him the puppy so he has a loyal companion by his side...dogs have no bias for disabilities! I am hoping to raise enough money for Jimmie and his mom to have the puppy properly training so this is a successful outcome for all. After looking into multiple dog training facilities we found someone willing to work with this unique situation. We are trying to raise $3000 for three weeks boarding-training, and then in-home training directly with Jimmie, his mom and his new companion. My friend also has seizures so there is a future hope that the puppy could become Service Dog trained as well. We appreciate any support. All funds go directly to training the puppy, and then into an account to help cover pet care expenses over time (food, vet visits, additional training, etc.)
