Jimmys Medical Journey
Donation protected
Jimmy was involved in a dump truck accident on September 28th coming home from picking up a dump truck in Indiana for his business. He was following his buddy and thankfully wasn’t alone on the journey. Just before midnight, Jimmy flipped the truck twice and then was injected out of the dump truck thru the windshield at 70 mph on the highway over the guard rail into the opposite side of traffic. He was then transferred from Indiana to Dayton, OH to be at one of the best trauma hospitals.
He’s lucky to be alive and the dump truck is totaled. We got him a new cell phone to be reached at as we can’t find any of his other belongings. You are very welcomed to contact him and let him know you are thinking of him. He may not respond but at some point he will listen and read your messages. He broke his collarbone during the accident, shattered 4 ribs into pieces as well ripped his abdominal wall. He also has staples in his head and glass cuts all over his bruised body. He does also have stitches under his knee on the left leg and is lucky to have all ten toes and fingers. Jimmy also has a medical history of hip replacement that didn’t tear as well as his head that survived a brain aneurysm. He does have a fractured vertebrae which will take time for him to stand and move on his own. Right now he is in ICU with a chest tube and will be moved to trauma to start his recovery process and do PT/OT. Then hopefully rehab and transfer him home back to Cleveland.
Now, the next step is focusing on what to do to keep jimmy afloat as his bills still need to get paid. A lot of people have been reaching out in ways to help while we navigate the next step to his recovery journey. The best we can do and think of is helping jimmy pay his medical bills and business bills as he will be spending the next 3-5 months recovering. Right now we have been down in Dayton trying to figure out the next step. We truly don’t know what to do and feel this is the best thing to do as everyone can come together for Jimmy and show he truly is loved.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
