My name is Amanda and I am raising funds for our family. My husband James (Jimmy) was diagnosed with end stage liver failure. He needs a transplant and will be unable to work for at least a year and a half. Anything raised will help with medical and living expenses.

There have been problems in the past, including a hereditary blood disorder, but on April 20 I took him into the emergency room. After a long nine days, he was diagnosed with liver failure and told he needs a transplant. Without the transplant, he will continue to deteriorate and other organs will be affected.

The doctors have told him he is unable to work. He cannot drive and is getting easily confused. I recently started a new job, all the time off I need to take him to appointments, testing, etc will be unpaid. Luckily, my work is very understanding and accommodating. We have applied for disability, but that can take almost a year to get an answer.

Any help given is appreciated and we will forever be in your debt. Once he is better and given a second chance at life, we will pay it forward. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
