We wanted to share an update on Jimmy's current situation. While his health is fairly stable at the moment he continues to face significant challenges with his liver and kidneys. Doctors are monitoring him closely as he will require both a liver and kidney transplant (he is stage 4 diagnosed). However, since he is young and his general health is stable, he is lower on the transplant list for now.

Over the past year continually in several hospitals, the strain on Jimmy's brain and body has taken a toll. He is currently facing significant challenges with cognitive brain function, anxiety, and depression. His psychiatrist, therapists and doctors have advised against returning to work at this time and will not approve it. Instead, Jimmy is taking steps to rebuild by volunteering at the hospital, which is an important first step for him.

Jimmy is meeting weekly with his therapist, psychiatrist and medical team to continue his recovery. He has also applied for federal disability benefits, though this process is lengthy and will take time to finalize.

In the meantime, we have set up a GoFundMe for anyone who would like to support Jimmy during this challenging time. Funds raised will go directly toward covering his insurance, medical and basic living costs.
