Hello everyone! Quick update to anyone who is following this. Jimmy went to his follow up appt and they said he's healing well. Still in a lot of pain but that's to be expected. He's able to start bending his leg and walking with a walker. Still non weight wearing for 6 more weeks, then hell begin 25% weight bearing and so on. He's stuck mostly in the chair and very limited with what he can do, he feels helpless but remains in good spirits. He's determined to not let this get the best of him and is working hard on his physical therapy at home. He can see every time someone makes a donation and it makes him feel really good to know we have so much support behind us. I want to thank you all again tho for the continued support, it's been rough with only one income and having all these extra expenses but thru the love you guys have shown, we are both able to breathe a little, finally. I was personally feeling so hopeless and desperate at the beginning, it was extremely overwhelming and at times I still feel like giving up .. but I can't .. and I wont... It's hard now but it will get better. Thank you for the hope that you've given us.

Also want to say that I set a goal here initially but the way go fund me does it is they show a small goal and raise it as donations are given. I feel like that makes me look very greedy every time it raises ahain. That's not me, that's just the way go fund me sets this up!

Hey guys, i just wanted to say thank you in advance for all of your shares and support I didn't think we would see so many people coming together to help our little family. It means the world to us to know so many of u care. The generosity we are seeing is truly encouraging while our lives got flipped upside down, it really is giving us a glimmer of hope. The goal is to buy Jimmy time to HEAL because if he sees us struggling then his goal will be to stand up on a broken leg to break it again, just to provide for us. He needs to focus on recovery.

Hello, my name is Michelle and I am raising funds on behalf of James Ranieri (Jimmy). He was recently involved in a crippling skateboard fall accident which left his leg bones shattered. Because of the area that was broken, his recovery time may be well over a full year. Because of this, he has lost his job and his ability to work. He's lost his ability to take Ronnie to and from school, to mow the grass, and various other tasks that u take for granted each day. It's become a lot on my plate financially and physically... Spiritually and emotionally we're both a little broken right now. Additionally, he's got no insurance and I am going to have to pay for all of his appointments out of pocket (which I don't personally have).

Jimmy is a beautiful person tho, he has a heart of gold and would give the shirt off his back for the ones he loves. He's a hard worker and an amazing father. He's feeling overwhelmed with the stress of sitting in a hospital bed and being unable to contribute (which he needs to focus on healing).

We really need help right now as we were already struggling before this happened. We will need help with covering the doctors and physical therapists as well as various scans. We'll need help with transport (he cannot bend his leg). We will need help with child care and before/after care at school. Help with lawn services. Help with food. And help in general for all of the lost wages we will face following this accident. We are already paycheck to paycheck so the biggest concern is losing his income. making sure we keep all the bills paid and the electric on is the top priority but If we know any of u personally or if you would like to donate other ways besides $$.. I personally have zero time left in the day to cook, clean, laundry. I'm skipping showers, not eating properly. It's overwhelming. If anyone would like to donate actual food, cooked or not is ok. But if anyone would like to cook a meal and donate, that would be a huge help.
