In July of 2017, Jimmy Asimakis began experiencing pain and swelling in his left eye. Despite numerous rounds of testing, no cause would be identified. Over the next 3 weeks, Jimmy lost vision in that eye completely. 

In March of 2018, Jimmy began experiencing the now familiar pain in his right eye. He underwent more testing as his vision diminished. This time, Jimmy was diagnosed with A-typical Optic Neuritis, believed to be caused by an autoimmune disorder.

Thirty-three years old, legally blind, and the doctors have said there is nothing they can do for him.

Anyone who knows Jimmy, would tell you that he is one of the kindest, most generous people they know. Dedicated to his family and career, he has been a constant source of support to his loved ones. More now than ever, we need him to feel the same love and support he has shared with us all these years.

At this time there is an opportunity for Jimmy to undergo Stem Cell Therapy in Panama City, Panama. We are hopeful this treatment will restore his vision, restore his independence and, ultimately, give Jimmy his life back. This particular therapy has worked for many patients diagnosed with A-typical Optic Neuritis.
