As you may already know my Dad , Jim Ackley, suffered a stroke early in the morning of the 17th. He is currently still at Rutland Regional Medical center being monitored and starting his long road to recovery.  He does not have health insurance and it is unclear currently how long he will be out of work. I would like to reach out and see what we can do to help ease his recovery as it will be a long road with physical therapy to regain his strength, work on his speech and be able to eat without a feeding tube.  Its unclear as of yet if he will need any special equipment to help with mobility and rehabilitation but I would love if we could make sure he doesn't need to worry about the funding and can focus on getting better. 

I know over the years he has been involved with many people and helped them be it painting a car, working on race cars, or encouragement through sarcasm. If you have the means both him and myself would be very grateful with any help you can provide no matter how small it is appreciated.

 I have been told there is an event being worked on also as a fund raiser and once I know more Ill try to update everyone.  If you do have any questions feel free to message me and I will try and get you what information I have.
