Jimmy Shah's Cancer Treatment Expenses

Donation protected
Salaam Alaikum,

Jim left Trinidad to visit family in the US. His sister, who is a nurse, saw him as he got off the plane and immediately took him to the emergency room. Jim's eyes and skin were yellow and he had lost a lot of weight. He had a tumor pressing down on the bile duct, causing the jaundice. Doctors went in and inserted a stent so the bile could drain and a biopsy of the tumor was performed. After many days, many tests, and many doctors, Jim was diagnosed with Stage 3 Pancreatic Adenocarcinoma. The treatment plan is 6 months of chemotherapy and then hopefully the tumor will be resectable through surgery. Chemotherapy is scheduled to start on Wednesday, April 24th.

Jim has no U.S health insurance and will have to pay out of pocket as he is too sick to travel back to Trinidad. Jim is a single father of three kids ages 11, 13, and 15. He is a math teacher, mentor, and pillar of the community. We appreciate any and all financial donations; and of course, remember Jim in your prayers.

I am Michael, Jimmy's nephew, and set up this campaign on his behalf. The beneficiary of this campaign is my father and Jimmy's brother, Ishraff Wayne Shah, who will manage the funds on Jimmy's behalf..
