Jimmy Shaddox's Recovery Fund

We are starting this GoFundMe for our dear friend, Jimmy Shaddox. For those of you who may not know, last week Jimmy went into the hospital where we received the unfortunate news that he had several blood clots throughout his body. Due to the severity of these blood clots, the blood was not able to flow to his intestines causing massive organ damage. Jimmy was scheduled for surgery on August 28, 2019 in a last-ditch attempt to save his life. Despite the outcome of the surgery, the doctors informed Jimmy's wife that he would never live a normal life again if he survived the surgery. A miracle happened that day, he defied the 1 in a million odds, and the surgery was successful.
Currently, Jimmy is in a medically induced coma in order to keep a close watch on him for a few more days then he is expected to remain in ICU for a minimum of 4 weeks. From there, they are expecting him to remain in the hospital until the end of 2019 so he can fully recover. The good news is, the doctors now expect that he will be able to live a normal, fully functional life again once he has recovered. As you can imagine, there is no definitive timetable for Jimmy's recovery since we are at the initial recovery stages, but if there is one thing that we know, we know that Jimmy will work as hard as possible in order to get back to where he once was. We are all hoping and praying for his recovery!
We set up this GoFundMe page as a communication platform to ensure we keep all of Jimmy's wonderful friends and family up to date on his status and progression. As you can imagine, the Shaddox family will incur significant medical expenses during this entire process, so any donations towards Jimmy's recovery are so greatly appreciated. If you are unable to donate, prayers and good vibes are just as important!
The Shaddox family thanks the many friends and family who have reached out to support Jimmy and his family through this difficult time. The outpouring of love and encouragement has been overwhelmingly touching and instrumental throughout this entire process.
