I'm Sean, a friend and co-worker of Jimmy Schultz. It is with heavy heart that I search for words to do justice to this situation. I will try to use few.

Jimmy suffered a catastrophic stroke at home early this week. He was transported to the local hospital and then airlifted to INOVA Fairfax Hospital for care. The damage to Jimmy's brain is so severe that the medical team is confident that his quality of life, if his body continues on, will not do justice to the man, father, friend, professional that IS Jimmy Schultz.

With the permission of the family, this GoFundMe page is being established to help offset the costs of medical care, expenses for the family, and support of Jimmy's three children.

Those of you who know Jimmy know he would be publicly chastising me for doing this. And also know that, in a quiet moment, would be giving the warmest, most sincere, and shortest (height) hug with a word of thanks. The man would rarely ask for help, but would always be the first helping others behind the scenes.

The family wishes to express their sincere, heartfelt appreciation for the outpouring of support, prayers, and warm thoughts. They ask for privacy as they continue to process this unexpected tragedy. It is truly a tragedy, as Jimmy has brought so much to this world, and the people he has touched, and never asked for or expected anything other than love and friendship.
