On Monday, April 27th 2020, Jimmy suffered injuries after an incident giving someone else a hand.
Out of the goodness of his heart, Jimmy gladly helped out his brother- in-law, who has medical conditions of his own, by cleaning out the gutters at his brother-in-law's house. Unfortunately, Jimmy had a significant fall during the cleaning and suffered traumatic injuries. He fractured his C7 vertebrae in his neck and fractured his T1,3-8 vertebrae in his back. He also suffered a lacerated spleen and several fractured ribs on both sides. Some are fractured in multiple places. Due to his rib injuries, he is unable to take deep breaths, and now has tubes to drain fluid off of his lungs. He spent several days in the ICU and was moved to a room yesterday. We are uncertain of how long and how difficult his recovery will be.
Jimmy is a truck driver for a large, well known bakery near Chattanooga TN, delivering and unloading baked goods around the country up until his fall. He continued to work during the Covid-19 pandemic. He does have health insurance, but will need financial help for several months with personal bills, medical bills, and other expenses that may arise. The family is very grateful for any prayers and donations that will help him during this difficult and troubling time.
About: Jimmy is a 48 year old father to 3 boys. He's a little brother, a big brother, a brother-in-law and an uncle to many nieces and nephews. He resides in the Chattanooga TN area and is a long time truck driver for a local bakery. Jimmy is a well liked, fun loving guy that is looking forward to getting back on his mountain bike, his motorcycle, and back to work.
