Hi everyone. On Wednesday, February 21st my uncle, Jimmy Miranda, had a stroke. My Aunt, Kimberly King, rushed him to the emergency room and at the time he had lost the ability to swallow and was completely paralyzed on his right side. He had emergency surgery where they removed a section of his skull to relieve pressure, cleaned up the pooled blood and put the portion of skull back. His brain has shown significant brainwaves after the procedure. Today, he has been able to breathe on his own without ventilator, but is still paralyzed on his right side. We're still waiting for him to wake up to see what rehabilitation he will need and if he regains feeling on his right side.

Jimmy and Kim own and operate their own business, but are unable to work right now and do not have health insurance. Jimmy is likely to be out of commission up to 6 months, and there are several medical bills they need help with.
