This is something I would have never thought would happen. My mom’s significant other, Jimmy Hutchison’s barn, caught on fire last night. Losing the barn was just a drop in the bucket compared to what he really lost. In that barn was what really broke his heart. He had all three of his beautiful stud horses and a filly out of his favorite mare that he had raised himself, and they passed away shortly after giving birth. Jimmy has worked his whole life and has put his heart and soul into these horses, and to say he is devastated is an understatement. He is a tough guy, but this has really hurt him in a way he didn’t know he could be hurt. Jimmy doesn’t have kids of his own, but has taken me and my sister in, and our kids, as his own family. That alone speaks volumes about the type of man he is, but these horses were also his babies, and he’s extremely hurt he’s lost them. Sadly, there was no insurance to help cover this loss, which is why I’m making this GoFundMe for him. The horses alone were a loss of $25,000, not including the 400 bales of hay he lost and the ton of feed they had just unloaded in it, as well as all the equipment he had in it and the tractor that burned right outside the barn. So this loss is not just emotional, but financial as well, and anything that you can donate is a helping hand and is appreciated more than you know.
