Jimmy is a classmate/friend of mine when we lived in Newington growing up. He is going through a difficult time as stated in his own words: "Back on February 2, 2018, I was rushed into the hospital due to severe stomach issues. I needed emergency exploratory surgery due to diverticulitis that had exploded in my stomach. They had to give me a colostomy. After weeks in the hospital and then rehabilitation, I went home. I was back and forth to the hospital due to infections and getting dehydrated almost every week or so. After 3 months they decided to re-inverse my bag. While I was in the hospital on this occasion, I needed two more emergency surgeries due to my bowel bursting again. Since then, I have been laying in a bed at the hospital and then rehab. I cannot stand for more than 20 seconds and can no longer walk. I miss being home with my family. My youngest son has cerebral palsy and misses his dad. We appreciate anything you can do for our family as we desperately need it." Jimmy is a very generous person from the great town of Ellington, Ct. Jimmy set up a fundraiser a while back for another local family to raise money for a wheelchair accessible van which was successful. It's now our turn to support Jimmy and his family. It is hard to be out of work and away from home. We wish for a speedy recovery and a quick return home to be with his family and friends. In the meantime, any financial support would be appreciated as Jimmy cannot work at this time. Always a hard worker who puts in long hours to financially support his family; it is now impossible.
