Jimmy Brown Memorial Fund

As many of you may know by now, our friend Jimmy Brown passed away a couple of days ago. Many of us knew that he was going through a rough time, especially with his recent job loss, but we never imagined that this would be the end result. After speaking to Meg (his wife) we realized that she is going to need help. I have asked her permission to put his story out there in order to help her through what is undoubtedly going to be a very difficult time. If your first thought was, "I thought he was happy. He was always smiling and such a nice guy", you are not alone. We are all right there with you and I write this while still in disbelief.
Jimmy was the first person to lend a helping hand. He was always the first one to volunteer when any work needed to be done to get the courts up and running or when any repairs needed to be done. He was always one of the first on the beach for our Lake George Tournament and among the last to leave at the end. Now his family needs your help.
This is what Meg said to me: "Jim was an alcoholic. His sickness eventually overcame him and he took his own life. He didn't have anything left to fight with by the end and that included money so if people would like to pitch in toward his final expenses, I would be very grateful."

The beneficiary you see posted for this campaign is listed as Joanne Ritcher who is Meg Browns mother.
Due to some finacial circumstances and logistical problem we set up the funds to go to her so she could get them to Meg . sorry if this caused any confusion and thank you all for your love and support.
