My brother-in-law, Jimmy DeAngelis has been diagnosed with a brain tumor. Glioblastoma is also called glioblastoma multiforme, or GBM. GBM is a type of primary brain cancer.
Jim has gone through multiple MRI's and a Biopsy at the University of Miami last Friday that confirmed this condition. An amazing team of Neurological and Oncology Therapy specialists have developed a specific treatment plan for Jim's condition. Jim and Kay, who live in Fort Pierce, Florida, will have to travel to Miami for Jimmy to undergo 6 weeks of radiation and chemo therapy. Starting on November 19th Jim will be treated five days each week with this aggressive therapy. Obviously, Kay and Jim will need to secure accommodations in Miami, as the Medical Center is over two hours each way from Fort Pierce.
Anyone who knows Jimmy DeAngelis knows he is a wonderful person. He has always been there for any family member, or friend who needs help. The expenses of dealing with this horrible experience will be devastating.
Any contribution you can provide will be so greatly appreciated. No matter how small, your donation will help to ease part of the tremendous burden Kay and Jimmy are dealing with. Knowing how much his family and friends care will help to heal the soul; and we pray that God will guide his doctors to do the rest.
