Jimmie's Urgent Car Repair Fund

Hi, my name is Glinda Lewis and I'm raising funds for my daughter, Jimmie Curtis-Lewis's car. I am a single disabled parent of two; my son is special needs, and my daughter Jimmie is a straight-A student in college. Jimmie was returning to her dorm from her internship Thursday evening when her vehicle started to shake, and it sounded like a diesel truck. Then it felt like it was losing power, and the check engine light came on. The reason is a seal between the engine and transmission broke, and all the oil drained out. The engine will have to be removed in order to replace the seal, and because all the oil drained out and Jimmie drove the vehicle with no oil, the engine will also have to be replaced.

Jimmie needs her (car) Tweety ASAP in order to get back and forth to her Internship which is a required course for completion of her degree.

I have been inquiring about engines, labor, and shops to have it towed to as she goes to college in Owings Mills, MD, and I live in Douglassville, PA. The school has informed Jimmie that her vehicle has to be moved off their property by March 11, 2025. I've possibly located one place in Baltimore, MD, where they said they had found an engine for $3,000 and would charge me $1,500 to put it in, but I have no idea what it will cost me to have it towed there and or to have it towed home.

Jimmie is devastated because this was her dad's vehicle, Kevin Curtis (Daddy), who passed away from COVID on April 16, 2020. Jimmie is still uncontrollably grieving because she was truly a Daddy's girl.

Jimmie is talking about dropping out of school to get a job to pay for repairs because her car (Tweety) is all that she has left of Daddy. When Jimmie is feeling down and needs to feel closer to her dad for guidance, she sits in her car, listens to the kind of music Daddy listened to, and cries.

I've been praying nonstop since this happened, asking God for a miracle because I know God is in the miracle business, and I know He will see us through.

I am financially strapped and unable to pay or help with repairs, so anything, anything at all that you can donate to help with the cost of repairing Tweety will be greatly appreciated as every little bit adds up.
