Jimmie Dreams heals his broken guitar playing hand
Donation protected
My brother, guitar slinger Jimmie Dreams, was hit by a drunk driver in front of one of his favorite places to play in the early hours of Friday, November 18th. As he turned from South Congress Avenue into C-Boys', his vehicle was struck with such force that it was totaled, breaking his left fifth metacarpal (the pinky bone in the palm of his left hand), and injuring Angus, Jimmie's Boston Terrier.
While insurance will, in time, cover a portion of Jimmie's losses and expenses, he has to go out of pocket for the foreseeable future. I probably don't have to tell you he could use a break from gigging while his hand heals, and that's his only source of income. He has orthopedic appointments and physical therapy ahead, possibly surgery. The car was twelve years old and in good shape, but insurance will pay out a fraction of what it will take to replace it. There is also Angus' care to manage.
If you've ever enjoyed the music Jimmie puts out into the world, I hope you'll drop a lil something in this kindly tip jar. The more we support him, the easier his recovery will be, and the sooner he can get back to making music magic again. Funds provided will cover medical and living expenses for Jimmie while he recovers, medical care for his dog, and any further funds will help replace our mom's car.
Thanks to all y'all, from me, Jimmie, and our momma
