Reward Fund to Find Jim Melgar's Murderer

Jim Melgar was murdered in his Houston home on December 23, 2012. To date his killer has not been brought to justice. It is our firm belief that last year, Jim's wife was wrongfully convicted of his murder. This put an end to any further investigation into the case.
We believe that Jim's murder was the result of a home invasion gone terribly wrong. We believe that there were at least 3 intruders in the house that night. In short, there are people out there who did not participate in Jim's murder that know exactly what happened that night. This fund is intended to offer incentive for these people to come forward, to help put his killer or killers behind bars.
The funds raised through this campaign will be placed into an account managed by Truth & Justice host, Bob Ruff, Jim and Sandy's daughter Lizz Rose, and a neutral third party. All funds will be used to offer a substantial reward for anyone who provides credible information that leads to the arrest and conviction of Jim Melgar's murderer.
Expenses will include: The reward itself, as well as advertising for the reward. It is our intention to conduct mailings, email campaigns, door to door flyer outreach and possibly billboards to advertise the reward.
In the event that an arrest is made, conclusively proving who actually killed Jim Melgar without the use of this reward fund, the account will be maintained and used as a reward fund for other unsolved cases.
Neither Bob Ruff, Lizz Rose, the neutral third party or anyone else will profit in any way from this fund. The entirety of the fund will be used in an effort solve this case. All financial decisions concerning this fund will be decided by the three account managers by a majority vote, and a full accounting of the fund will be available to anyone upon request.
