Jim Housman Needs Our Help

Jim Housman is simply one of the hardest working and selfless people I've ever met. He is a great father and friend to many, many people.
On November 25, 2016 Jim suffered a massive heart attack at work. Anyone who is lucky enough to know Jim, is aware that he does NOT ask anyone for help, ever. A fresh example of his enormous independence, is that while having his heart attack, he drove himself to the Melrose hospital and checked himself into the ER as to not “inconvenience” anyone for a ride. He was then rushed by ambulance to the St. Cloud hospital.
Doctors quickly learned of severe blockages that gave them no other option than a required quadruple bypass surgery on Thursday. December 01, 2016.
Jim is easily one of the finest people you can encounter. He has worked at Melrose 1 Stop for nearly 30 years. He is the first one to dose out extreme sarcasm, show compassion, crack a witty joke and help you out, all at the same time. With his sudden bypass surgery, Jim will be out of work for up to three months.
Jim needs our help. He will NEVER ask for help or expect anything from anyone. Jim’s unexpected medical expenses are quickly mounting.
Any amount, no matter how little - matters. Jim has a tough road ahead of him. How wonderful will it be for him to be able breathe a sigh of relief that we came together and raised money in order for him to fully recover without the added worry of financial stress.
Now we can give something back to Jim. Please remember any amount is significant; three months is a long time to recover with no income. We can come together during this time and help ease his worries and concerns. The doctors are gauging his long recovery at home to begin on Tuesday, December 6th. His four children, Nick, Chris, Nathan & Samantha, have been taking shifts in the hospital and will continue to assist him on his road to recovery.
On behalf of the Housman Family, they are humbled beyond belief by your prayers and are so grateful for all of the friends and loved ones who keep them lifted. Thank you for the endless love and support!
