My name is Sametris, first cousin to Jimel Sherman. Jimel born, raised and currently residing in Milledgeville, Georgia, has a 16 years old daughter and needs his community’s help. Jimel has always tried to maintain an active lifestyle and can be found almost every day at the gym. He is commonly known in his community as “The Cable Guy” and had just started working with a new cable company in the area earlier this year.

What started as a typical day for Jimel in June 2022 completely changed the trajectory of his life. Jimel was airlifted to Atlanta, GA, to repair an aortic dissection. After having nine hours of life-saving heart surgery, Jimel would endure two more life-saving surgeries. After weeks in Emory hospital, he was discharged and later readmitted to ICU for complications. Doctors have been unable to explain his medical emergency because it’s not common in healthy younger adults. This event has been detrimental to Jimel physically, mentally and financially.

Jimel is still recovering and unable to work because he has not been released from medical care, making it hard to stay financially afloat. Jimel has just started working with a new company months earlier. Unfortunately, his living expenses have not stopped because he cannot work.

I’m asking anyone willing to donate to him, no matter the amount. All donations will go toward living expenses for the next few months until he is cleared to return to work. No amount is too small. All donations would be greatly appreciated.
