Sumner County resident and Veteran Ret. Col. Jim " Bull" Bachman who organized an honor ride to Chattanooga on Saturday July 25th to honor the 5 servicemen who were killed last week was involved in a bad motorcycle accident leaving Chattanooga saturday afternoon. He suffered multiple broken ribs, collar bone and a bruised lung. He was expected to be discharged from Erlanger Hospital on Tuesday July 28, 2015 and transported back to a Nashville facility. However his injuries are more severe then they thought and he will have to undergo breast plating sometime today or Thursday. His wife Alice (Lady A) who has been by his side since the accident and is also on the Sumner County Board of Education was admitted to Erlanger hospital yesterday as well due to extremely low potassium levels. As many of you know Jim owns his own company and its going to be several months before he's able to return to a somewhat normal life maybe even longer. Jim is very active in our community, as a member of the Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association "Vets Helping Vets". He is also very dedicated at thanking the men and women who are serving our country both past and present. He will drive 6 hours one way to pay his respects to a fallen solider or just to say welcome home. He stays very active with the CVMA, Rolling Thunder, the VA in Murfreesboro Operation Stand Down, the American Legion and many more. We have started this gofundme account to help them with the continued expenses of travel, lodging, medical bills and anything else they might need. If you would like to make any donations outside of gofundme please contact myself Irene "Mamasita" Clore through gofundme and we will be in touch with his family to make those donations happen. Please continue to keep both Jim & Alice in your thoughts and prayers.
