My dad was an incredibly unique and talented man; uniquely himself and would never compromise in what he believed.

Born in Ohio and raised in Houston Texas, he was one of 5 children. His mother, an absolute angel on earth, passed when I was a child but the memories I have of her are a legacy she left for her family. I know that his generosity and drive to help those less fortunate or in need came from the heart of the woman that raised him. While our family lost his sister to cancer late last year, his other siblings are doing well despite the grief and loss. His father sold his home last year and is still working as a CPA... having to say goodbye two of his children has been an incredible loss for him.

My father often referred to his three children as, "My pride and joy" leaving the title, “my little princess” to his only daughter.

We will forever miss his infectious laugh, resilient nature, charm, witty banter about nonsense and affection with collecting unique trinkets.

He pushed the boundaries his entire life and taught us to do the same. To always question authority, make our own decisions and stand on our own two feet ... no matter the consequences.

My father really struggled his last few years, but would always help people over himself... always giving, sometime what he didn’t have.

While  we are grateful he is no longer in pain, we are left with the aftermath of his struggles the last few years. We need funds for a dumpster to clean out his storage units (did you see where i mentioned his affection for trinkets?), funds to tow trucks, airfare for my oldest brother and a hotel for his stay, his cremation and various other expenses he was unable to address before his passing.

His children were already taxed because of the 2020 pandemic that continues to bleed into this year but most recently two of us are unexpectedly impacted financially because of the snow/ice storm that has caused Austin, Texas to be in a local State of Disaster.

We are so very grateful for anything you're willing to donate to this cause. My father was a lot of things but mostly, he was a hero to many. Our hope is to honor him through wrapping up affairs he could not afford to do before he passed.

The North Shore's lights in Jonestown are a little dimmer without his spirit.
