Jim Swets Medical Fund

Jim Swets and his family are seeking assistance in covering medical and travel expenses caused by pancreatitis he developed last year. Complications surrounding pancreatitis have left him malnourished, losing over 50 pounds since October, and too weak to return to work as an equipment salesman at Churchill Equipment.

Jim has spent the last 40 years in Montana with his wife Sharon, raising a family of 5 kids, and has played a large role in his church and community. Back in November, after spending nearly a month in the hospital with severe pain, nausea, and fevers Jim was finally diagnosed with pancreatitis. While it was a blessing to finally have a diagnosis, there is no known cure and several complications have emerged requiring bi-monthly trips to Salt Lake City to see specialists that cost well over $1000 per trip. Unfortunately the insurance providers have deemed these visits optional so the Swets family has had to pay for this out of pocket.

At this time, we are reaching out to the community for prayers for the Swets family and assistance with the travel, housing and medical costs related to fighting this illness. We all appreciate your generosity in helping them during this time of need.
