Jim Stooke’s lymphoma sucks fundraiser

Due to popular demand by friends and family, Jim and Michelle are accepting some fundraising to support medical next steps. Jim's been fighting a rare form of non-hodgekins lymphoma in the t-cells (Mycosis fungoides) for over a year. And now he has another diagnosis of Squamous Cell Carcinoma in the lymph nodes of the neck. It's also looking like the lymphoma has spread to those same lymph nodes.

 

Jim definitely deserves an award for the weirdest cancer names. Jim believes they can squash the Squamous and continue to focus on limiting the spread of the lymphoma which isn't remissable. They have upcoming appointments to get next steps so new treatment plans are on the horizon. Financially, they've been fiercely independent but short term disability has now run out and the long term disability process is, well, long (and slow). 

 

It can be tough on friends and family, not knowing what to do or say. So finally here's our chance to show that support and help them in this next phase. They remain hopeful and are ready to fight on. Michelle and Jim are truly best friends and soul mates, they are hanging in there, together. They have 4 kids with the youngest still living at home, plus 1 grandchild. Lots of good family times to look forward to!
