My Border Collie, Jim, is at Upstate Veterinary Specialties in NY currently in critical condition after surgery, he had two days ago at Berkshire Vet Hospital, to remove a dog toy squeaker that was lodged in his small intestine.  This morning he was doing great and was scheduled to come home tonight.  At 4pm, the vet at BVH called and said his temp had spiked, he refused food and had rapid breathing. I immediately picked him up from there and brought him to the specialty clinic, UVS.  He had to have a second surgery to re-sect the failed incision and put it back together.  He has a 50/50 chance of survival post-op with a difficult recovery time.
