I am seeking your support in helping my husband. Last February 2nd Jim was diagnosed with early-stage lung cancer. His one overnight observation turned into 6 nights due to the doctor nicking his right lung, causing it to collapse and build up fluid.  To drain the fluid, doctors put a chest tube into his right side, delaying his cancer treatments for several weeks.

Finally, in March, cancer treatments began, a combo of chemo and radiation. He tolerated the treatments well, but the side effects took its toll on Jim and his immune system.

By mid-June, scans showed Jim was clear of cancer. He was getting stronger and was able to go back to work which helped with our mounting medical expenses.

Unfortunately, in August, he came down with pneumonia. The pneumonia was worsened due to his epiglottis leaking into his lung, causing him not to be able to eat or maintain his oxygen levels

He spent 5 weeks in the hospital with a feeding tube and on oxygen. He then spent 3 weeks in a rehab facility that neglected to administer his meds correctly, and some meds he never received. After that, he was readmitted to the hospital for 2 more weeks.

Scans now show cancer has returned. Now he is facing more chemo and more meds, he's on oxygen 24/7, and the feeding tube is still in his belly.

Jim has not been able to work for 3 months, and I have taken an (unpaid) leave from my job so I can take care of him. We have depleted our savings, and the expenses are piling up. Just the feeding tube formula alone is over $300 a month.

Family and friends have been wonderful, helpful, supportive prayer warriors. We hate to ask for more help, but as we face more treatments and scans and medications, even the smallest donation would be greatly appreciated. Just $10 would feed him for a day.
