Jim was in a critical accident Thursday Feb 16, 2024 around 11:40am in La Vista Nebraska. The cause has not yet been determined but it seems he suffered a medical emergency and he is in the hospital at Bergan Mercy in critical condition. Jim suffered a head injury resulting in a slight brain bleed that is being monitored, a broken femur, wrist, ribs and sternum. He also has a lacerated liver and punctured lung. On Friday Feb 16th he was able to withstand surgery to repair the femur and ensure there wasn't any internal bleeding from that bone. The family will update here occasionally and we just ask for your thoughts and prayers. Some have asked if he will need help financially, we are not sure at this time, he does have insurance but we don't know what his recovery or future will bring. We will update soon a way to donate if you choose to do so. Thanks for everyone who reached out, Jim has a long recovery ahead but we are optimistic that he will be awake and improving soon.
