Jim Mastores Memorial Fund

Jimmy Mastores, also known as The "Golden One", was a legend.

It's difficult to put into words how wonderful a man he truly was. To put it simply, Jim made everyone's life better, always had a kind word and an infectious laugh.

Jim was a friend, a colleague, a brother, a husband, and a father. A devoted family man, selfless in every way.

Obvious to all, Jim's family was his heart and soul. His son, Nick and daughter, Anne were his joy. His wife Cathy his true sweetheart, love of his life and best friend.

Through the hardships of losing literally everything, his wife’s battle with stage 3 breast cancer and Jim himself having to undergo a quadruple bypass, he had to start over in his late 40's. Defeat was not in Jim's vocabulary, his will grew even stronger.

After many years of searching, Jim found Oliver Winery. This company not only treated him with respect, but they treated him as family. Jim finally enjoyed waking up and working again. Many a morning, Jim could be heard laughing on the phone with his boss Greg about anything and everything. We Thank you Oliver Family.

Jim was admitted to the hospital on Mother's Day 5/9/2021 and placed on an observational floor for 3 days diagnosed with pneumonia. He had 2 negative Covid-19 tests and was released to go home on Wednesday, 5/12/21.

On Thursday evening 5/13/21, Jim was taken by ambulance back to the hospital where he tested positive for Covid-19 and was admitted to the ICU with septic shock. Five days later Jim was placed in a medical induced coma and put on a mechanical ventilator. 13 days later a tracheotomy was performed in addition to being on the ventilator.

Thursday, June 10,2021, Covid-19 abruptly and savagely put an end to Jim's life with the septic shock causing multi-system organ failure. He was only 63 and had so much more to share with us.

We are thankful to our friends and family for all your prayers. Many of you have asked how you can help…

We have set up this Go Fund Me to help Jim’s family alleviate some of the financial burden of 30+ days in the hospital/ICU and other expenses related to his unexpected death.

We are grateful for your support!

Rest in Peace Golden One, you are loved, you are missed.
