Jim Logan Family Destroyed Home

Donation protected
On Saturday, April 29th, a devastating tornado tore through the tight community in Canton, Texas.  This tornado devestated many families, among which was the Jim Logan family, part of our CE family.  Luckily, Jim, his wife and thier two children are safe, but they lost EVERYTHING.  You can see the destruction to Jim's house in the background of the picture showing Jim with his lovely wife, and two children, and what is left after the destructive force of a TX tornado.

If we each sit back and think about what it would be like to lose our home, vehciles, belongings and all we have accumulated over our lives, it is hard to image where to begin picking up the pieces.  In addition, just the frustration in dealing wtih how to start the process of rebuidling and getting our lives back in order is overwhelming and can put a severe strain on a family's financial stability.

My name is Lisa Hunter, and as a prior Officer with the American Red Cross, and now the Director of Operations with Carrier Enterprise in Carrollton, TX, I have had the pleasure of working with Jim Logan. I also know how devestating these disasters can be on families first hand after with my work with the American Red Cross. Jim is a member of our Carrier Enterprise family, working out of our Tyler, TX facility.  He is very  well regarded by everyone he works with, and SO MANY people have reached out to me to see how they can help Jim and his wonderful family.  To be clear, Jim and his family have to START OVER... rebuilding a house, buying new vehicles, getting clothing for their children, and buying new furniture, appliances and all other items that make a home, a HOME.  These funds will be used to help with a myraid of expenses the Logan family is now faced with in trying to rebuild their lives.

For those of you that want to help the Logan family, I have set up this site where you can go on line and make a donation to help Jim and his family get back on their feet.  When I spoke with Jim on Friday, he advised me how happy he was that he could get a shower that morning... the things we all take for granted are now missing from the lives of all in the Logan family.  Even a small donatation will help, especially as those small donations start to add up.  If you can assist Jim and his family in any way. I know the entire Logan family be will more apprecitive than we could even imagine.   I will keep this site open for donations until Sunday evening, May 21st in the event it helps to make a donation after our next pay period.   Let's see if we can help our CE family member and his family with all the expense they will incur in getting some semblence of normalcy back in their lives.

I will leave you with the inspiring words of Sir Winston Churchill...

"We make a living by what we get.  We make a life by what we give".

I thank you in advance for anything you can do within your means to help Jim and his family during this very difficult time as they go about in rebuilding their family home and life.
