Jim Lambert

Friends, family and relatives of Jim Lambert,

For those that did not know; Jim was diagnosed several months ago with stage 4 lung cancer. It has progressively worsened and he was hospitalized 2 weeks ago. He was released from the hospital and is living out the remainder of his life with his brother Mark and sister in law Lisa. Jim is on hospice until he passes and has drastically taken a turn for the worse in the last 48 hours. Jim is now sedated heavily and is not able to wake to communicate.

From the outpouring of messages, texts and phone calls, it is obvious that Jim has touched many lives. From his law enforcement career with the Sheriff's Dept and his love of being a member of Marine Patrol and Air Support in Starr1, to his DJSA family and friends, to his friends he rode funeral motor escorts with, and especially his Orwood family where he lived and worked the past several years. He loved all of you deeply and you were all a big part of his life.

Unfortunately Hospice feels it is now down to just days until Jim takes his last breath and joins our parents in heaven. It is with a sad heart I have to break this news since just days ago he was able to talk on the phone and communicate.

We are creating this GoFundMe page for Jim to help pay his medical expenses, final arrangement costs and a Celebration of Life for when he passes. Jim thought it would be a great idea to have a Celebration of Life at the place he lived, worked and loved most, Orwood Resort. Any money left over will be donated to the American Cancer Society.

It is heartwarming to hear all the stories people tell of how Jim touched their lives in a positive way or helped them through tough times. I look forward to hearing more stories in person at his Celebration of Life.
