Help support Jim Kosak's cancer medical expenses
Donation protected
Dear Friends and Family,
At this time, I am reaching out to all of you for support. After many
trips to the emergency room this past year, Jim Kosak, my
husband, was diagnosed in July, 2019, with stage 4 esophageal
cancer which metastasized to his liver, spine, legs, abdomen, and
lymph-nodes. Jim, 54 years of age, was given 6 months with no
treatment and up to18 months to live with treatment. Jim and I
became sweethearts in 1983, and have been married for 26
years. Together, we have a son, Noah, as well as a daughter,
Holly. As you can imagine, as a family, we are devastated by this
diagnosis.
Jim is in a great deal of pain and is no longer able to handle many
of the household chores. Consequently, this has fallen on our
children and me. I am continuing to work full-time while Noah and
Holly attend a local college. We are having a very difficult time
keeping up with the lawn, vehicles, and household repairs, which
have accumulated suddenly.
This has been very strenuous, emotionally and physically, for us.
However, along with the emotional turmoil that has been put on
our family, there is also a huge financial strain as cancer is one of
the most costly diseases. Jim and I travel four and a half hours to
the Cancer Treatment Center of America every other week, which
is very expensive and difficult to afford. On Friday, he receives all
of his medical services at CTCA. Once Jim sees the doctors and
receives his infusion, he must stay in the area for 46 hours before
the pump can be removed. Right now, we are required to stay in
hotels for three nights each treatment cycle.
While Jim is not working, we are asking for help funding this bi-
weekly trip to help pay for the gas, hotel, treatments, meals, and
toll fare each time. Any donations are greatly appreciated. My
family and I are, above all, asking for prayers.
Please help in praying for a miracle, and for Jim to
be relieved of his pain. God can do the unthinkable!
Please pray that we stay strong and Jim conquers
this terrible disease.
- With Sincere Gratitude,
Anita Kosak
We thank you for all the prayers and support our
family has already received!
