Jim “Jimbo Billy Bob” Summers

After much thought and consultation with medical professionals, we've decided with heavy hearts that hospice care is the best option for our dad, Jim Summers. It was confirmed that he has metastatic cancer that started in his lungs and unfortunately treatment would not be helpful at this time. The best option is to make him as comfortable as possible for his last days (they’re estimating he may have up to a week).

We know that there have not been many updates of his condition since his few Facebook posts within the last month so we greatly apologize if this is a surprise. It came on suddenly, his health and strength deteriorated quickly so we have had little time to prepare.

We are asking if you are able to make donations for his cremation, a memorial, travel expenses for family members (including myself to fly from Oregon to Missouri), etc we would be grateful.

Once there are more definite plans for the cremation or memorial, the details will be shared on Facebook with him tagged so you can make arrangements to attend.

To anyone that was a part of his life, thank you for making such an imprint. He had so many friends that I’ve known even since I was a young child.
